Europe’s next funding architecture is being shaped now. Cultural and creative work needs a named place, a budget line, fair AI rules, skills support and seats in the rooms where decisions are made.

BrandBrief is already backed by more than 50 organisations and 100 citizens.
If your organisation works in design, music, architecture, publishing, film, games, fashion, cultural heritage, advertising, visual arts, performing arts, education, research or creative tech: sign, share, and ask your network to do the same.
Culture is infrastructure.
It is where Europe makes meaning, trust, stories, design, images, music, games, film, language and public imagination.
But in the next EU funding architecture, cultural and creative work still risks being treated as something secondary — not as the innovation infrastructure it actually is.
BrandBrief Demand 01 calls for a dedicated EU innovation programme for cultural and creative work.
Put €760 million back on the table.
Sign BrandBrief and share this with someone working in culture, creativity, design, media, music, film, games, publishing, heritage, education or the arts.

Creative sectors should not be invited after decisions are made.
BrandBrief asks for CCI representation in the governance bodies shaping the Competitiveness Fund, InvestEU instruments, EU AI Office processes and GPAI implementation.

AI systems are being trained on creative work.
Writers, musicians, illustrators, filmmakers, journalists, designers and artists should not be treated as free raw material.
BrandBrief calls for fair licensing, consent and payment when creative work is used to train AI.

Are you working with micro-credentials in education, training, skills development or cultural and creative sectors?
The CREDEX project wants to hear from you.
We are launching a stakeholder consultation to better understand how micro-credentials are currently implemented and recognised, and what support is needed to make them more effective and visible in the CCI sector.
Complete the questionnaire here: https://forms.gle/7iJurW7Hghmf6z6W7
It takes around 15 minutes to complete.
Deadline: first week of September.
Creative workers are already dealing with AI-driven restructuring.
The Competitiveness Fund includes skills mechanisms for strategic sectors. BrandBrief asks for the cultural and creative workforce to be included with the same seriousness: AI literacy, rights management, digital craft transitions, audiovisual skills and VET partnerships.
Creative work is part of Europe’s transition economy.

€760 million for cultural and creative work.
A dedicated EU innovation programme for creative work is not a side issue. Europe’s digital sovereignty depends on its creative infrastructure.
