Summer highlight made of steel. 🌍🪩

As summer comes to an end, we look back at a great season. One of our highlights was providing containers for the Lago Lago festival. 🔆

For building their mainstage, they used 112 of our containers. The modular setup shows what containers do best: efficiency and endless flexibility. They are quick to place, safe to stack, and weather-resistant. Once the music stops, the containers simply move on to their next destination. 📦

Sound barrier made of our shipping containers. 🔉📦

When diesel trains caused noise at the Lokeren train station in Belgium, a practical solution was needed. Together with Stadsbader, we helped build a massive noise barrier of containers for NMBS.🚆

To reduce the noise for local residents, 38 empty CARU containers were placed on-site. The temporary wall spans nearly 250 meters in length and stands 5.2 meters high, stacked two containers tall. This setup effectively blocks the sound.

This project shows how all round shipping containers can be. This time the perfect solution for temporary infrastructure and noise control.🎧

Proud to introduce Chiel Rietvelt! 🤝

As is tradition at CARU Containers, we are very happy to introduce our new collegue Chiel Rietvelt. He recently started as our new Chief Financial Officer.

Chiel brings over 25 years of experience in finance and leadership, with strong roots in the Port of Rotterdam and international business. He was drawn to CARU Containers by our entrepreneurial spirit, global dynamics, and hands-on Rotterdam mentality.

Colleagues describe Chiel as approachable, analytical, and pragmatic. In his new role, Chiel focuses on building strong team connections, clear communication, and contributing to the next phase of our growth.♥️

Fun fact: when he is not at work, Chiel is a passionate beekeeper. He also enjoys boxing and motorcycling. 🐝🏍️

Branded containers for Royal IHC! 🚢

We supplied brand-new branded containers for our customer Royal IHC. We proudly personalized these containers with high-quality stickers in their own corporate branding. 🤍❤️

Royal IHC uses containers for two important functions: transport and storage. Thanks to the custom branding, they are real eye-catchers on the road and at worksites. We already delivered the first 20ft containers, and more 20ft and 40ft containers will follow soon. We love helping our partners with these global journeys!

Our CARU family is growing. We are very happy to introduce Job van Veen, who recently started as our new Sales Executive. Job was drawn to the commercial side of our business and our strong roots as a Rotterdam family business.

Job is a real team player. His strengths are open communication and working together with others. In his new role, Job wants to focus on building strong connections. He wants to work closely with his colleagues and combine their strengths to help CARU grow.

When he is not at work, Job loves to spend his free time outside. He enjoys going out for dinner with his girlfriend and friends. He is also a big football fan who loves to visit both professional and amateur football matches.
