📡 DSCI4 ARCHIVES

Revisiting Spy Technologies 4: Counter Surveillance (2007)

Released in 2007, Counter Surveillance marked the fourth chapter in the Spy Technologies series, continuing DSCI4's exploration of the darker, more futuristic edge of drum & bass.

Bringing together producers from across the international underground, the LP featured exclusive tracks from Masheen & Kano, Prode, Proket, Dementia & Rregula, and NPhonix—each delivering their own take on the precision, atmosphere and weight that defined the sound of the era.

Tracklist

▪ Masheen & Kano – Paranoia
▪ Masheen & Kano – Breaking Point
▪ Prode – Cubic
▪ Proket – Gardarika
▪ Dementia & Rregula – Sunk
▪ Dementia & Rregula – Trippin Balls
▪ NPhonix – Sunspire
▪ NPhonix – Eden

Nearly two decades on, Counter Surveillance remains a snapshot of a time when techstep was continuing to evolve while staying true to its underground roots. The music still sounds as focused, atmospheric and uncompromising today as it did on its original release.

A timeless chapter in the DSCI4 catalogue.

Who still has this one in their collection, and which track still stands out for you?
