I used the sound of the wind and crickets outside and ended up turning it into part of “Breathe”. It actually even inspired the track title as the idea came to me while running, which for me is a moment to… breathe 🏃🏻
I always try to add some quirky sounds into my tracks. You probably don’t always actively hear it, but I feel it adds a bit more of a human touch next to all the digital synths & beats... 🌎

I think the heart of this one really is in the groovy percussion, vocal & synth stabs, combined with a very simple bassline. That whole groove was there first, then the melody & main vocal followed easily. 🕺🏻

Turning 34 today. Story time… 📜
A year ago I was just about to release my first track in quite a long time. In no way whatsoever I would have expected to be where I am now, one year later.
What a rollercoaster of experiences I’ve had in my 33rd year on this planet. 🫠
Scroll for some blasts from the past, from me 18-year old me DJ’ing at local parties to 15-year old me probably scrolling through Tiësto & ASOT related fan forums… to a little mini-me somewhere in the 90’s.
Regarding that mini-me: as long as I remember, I’ve been into anything that’s related to trance music.
Actually, one of my first memories is listening to “Scoop - Drop It”, the project of my Belgian countrymate Jan Vervloet (with whom I managed to work already, years later!). That “Drop It” track got released in 1999 so I must have been 7 or 8 years old at the time when I first heard it. I was the strange kid at school listening to all this “untz untz untz” music.
Turns out that the strange kid just found his passion really early in life.
