Anantha - Eternal Change by Prewien Pandohi-Mishre was a sold out concert at the most prestigious concert venue in the Netherlands, Het Concertgebouw. On the 26th of September Prewien wrote history by presenting Indian classical music, folk music and a blend of Caribbean beats. A night to remember!

An unforgettable, sold out evening unfolded at the prestigious Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam as the Prewien Pandohi-Mishre took the stage for Concert Anantha - Prewien Pandohi-Mishre & Ensemble.
Alongside a stellar ensemble Angel Aruna, Dilip Dhoenmoen, Hamid Reza Behzadian, Patrick Laauwerends en Ronald Snijders this concert connected an audience across continents.

Anantha - Eternal Change
Last Saturday we celebrated 15 years of DesiYUP with Prewien Pandohi-Mishre and ensemble in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam. We had an amazingly diverse full house which we are highly grateful for. Prewien, being the lead artist was a great choice for this venue. He owned the stage!
It was such a pleasure seeing familiar faces of patrons who supported us over the last 15 years to people whom we connected with for the first time. Our magazine is available during our next event, Eindeloos India Festival in de Doelen, Rotterdam.
Thank you musicians: Aruna Angel, Ronald Snijders. Patrick Lauwerends, Dilip Dhoenmoen, Hamid Reza Behzadian for a wonderful musician perfomance. Showcasing the unity and diversity of Indian classical music, devotional music and Surinamese music. It was harmoniously blended!

Gharana’s and musical heritage - Workshop by Indian vocalist Dr. Ankita Deole Damle
In this workshop you will learn the importance of Gharana’s and musical heritage from Indian singer Dr. Ankita Deole Damle. You will first learn about the Indian music system and the Indian notation system called Sargam. You will also get a brief introduction in the Indian rhythmic cycles called Tala. The specific aspects of Gharana’s in Indian classical will be explained. The focus will be on the Jaipur-Atrauli and Kirana Gharana.
This workshop is perfect for learners of Indian music who already have a basic understanding of the music and want to delve deeper in the subject of Gharana’s. For beginners this workshop is also interesting because the basics of the music style will also be covered. You will receive a handout with the basics of Indian classical music. One composition will be taught in this workshop.
