1. ⌚ Timex Waterbury Metropolitan Sub-Second

Timex was founded in 1854 as the ‘Waterbury Clock Company’ in Waterbury, Connecticut. At the time, this town was also known as ‘The Switzerland of America’ due to its many watchmakers.

The company set itself apart by combining European watchmaking quality with American entrepreneurship. This enabled ordinary men and women to acquire a high-quality watch at an affordable price. It wasn’t until some 100 years later that the name Timex was introduced. With the Waterbury collection, Timex pays tribute to the brand’s origins.

This model is characterised by clean lines and flowing curves. The 39 mm stainless steel case has a slim profile and an elegant bezel. The time is read from a silver-white dial featuring Roman numerals and a track-style minute track, combined with a sub-dial for the seconds hand.

2. ⌚ Mondia Heritage 1946

Mondia is a Swiss watch brand with a history dating back to 1935, when it was founded in Le Locle, the heart of the Swiss watch industry. In the decades that followed, Mondia built a reputation for reliable mechanical timepieces and sporty chronographs that were popular with a wide audience. Today, that heritage lives on in collections that subtly blend vintage influences with modern technology.

This model features a 40 mm stainless steel case and a stainless steel strap. Inside the case, which is fitted with mineral glass, lies a high-quality Miyota movement. The beautiful white-silver sub-dials contrast with the black dial, beige numerals and red accents.

💡 If you’re looking for a sophisticated watch with a 1920s vintage vibe, this ‘Diego’ might be just the thing for you.

This quartz watch has a 32 mm stainless steel case and features a black leather strap. The black ‘sunray’ (finely brushed) dial features clean gold-coloured lines, which create a sense of depth. The whole watch is finished with mineral glass.
