IsBurning

On New Year’s Eve 2024 to 2025, we kicked off the year with our first IsBurning at TILLATEC 🔥 What happened during those 24 hours was pure magic! And it was no question we would return for a lot more nights and weekenders. The energy that’s in those walls, the people who keep the place running and the beautiful crowd that fills the dance floors over and over gain is truly something special.

This ADE we return to TILLATEC for one final IsBurning weekender, together with Cruise, Mala Junta and tINI AND THE GANG 🫶🏼 Join us on the dance floor to say goodbye to one of our favorite venues in Amsterdam. Come early, stay late, rest in between, or just don’t leave at all!

We’ve got a very special 200th IsBurning mix! By our resident Josh Caffé. Since 2023 Josh is a resident of IsBurning eventhough he has been playing IsBurning way before first time was during our 5 Year Anniversary! His first IsBurning mix is from 2018 and it was time to have a fresh one!

Born between South London and Kampala, Josh was raised in homes steeped in music. Josh is an architect of the dancefloor, crafting electronic earworms that command crowds into a groove long after the club closes. As a DJ, vocalist, producer, activist, founder of Love Child.

Josh always amaze us when we see him rock the dancefloor, if it’s while performing live or playing house or techno. This mix has a very distinct Josh sauce it’s hard to pinpoint but that’s exactly what makes Josh Josh. Raw, sexy and trippy in a very unique way, long blends and letting the groove breathe while it just grabs you.

Track highlight: Ubik – “Trancendental Devotion (Refix)”
“Always been a fan of Ubik. This is a perfect combo of early UK techno / acid rave with a cosmic, hypnotic and slightly darker edge. It feels strange, physical and slightly psychedelic, which I love.”

Thanks Josh❤️

Honey we are back again with another edition of BÄR …IsBurning on November 20th 🔥 After a sexy first night at Rotterdam’s newest venue export, we are excited to return! Last time, you showed us you can get down and dirty, so we can’t wait to do it all over again 😏 The lineup? A secret darling. But you know we will make your panties drop!

A few weekends ago the IsBurning boat set sail during Dimensions in Croatia. While the sun was tanning our skin you spent the afternoon dancing with us and honey, you all brought the heat! 🥵 Bringing the IsBurning vibes to a boat always hits different. The vibes are more intimate while the wind is blowing our hair, the perfect setting to end the summer. Thank you to everyone who danced with us that day and to Dimensions for inviting us on the water!

This week mix is by K. De Jesus as she brings together her Portuguese roots, Luxembourgish upbringing with fresh inspiration from the German capital. With an instinct for digging and selection, she keeps her sets unpredictable while never losing the groove. A familiar face in Berlin’s q***r house scene, Katy brings emotion, attitude and energy to the dance floor.

Katy’s mix comes in with driving energy, built around driving grooves and tight percussion. It moves between stripped-back moments and sections with a more emotional edge, without losing its momentum. The focus stays firmly on groove, rhythm and pressure throughout. A raw, club-focused mix that keeps things moving from start to finish.

Track highlight:

DJDJDJDJ - Wee Ohh Wee Ohh

“I love its playful, slightly naughty energy, and the way its bouncy UK garage rhythm immediately shifts the body.

I chose to close the set with it. There’s something hazy and dreamy about it, almost trancey and emotional, while still retaining a certain low-slung swagger.

I’d been carrying it in my record bag for a while, waiting for the right moment to play it, but that moment had never quite presented itself. Because I move between quite different musical moods, a record like this also needs to land in exactly the right context.

Its mood also feels like a bridge between my musical universe in the club and my musical world at home.”
