Social safety starts with recognition. Bi+ employees can face stereotypes, exclusion and pressure to stay invisible at work. Yet bi+ inclusion is still often missing from workplace diversity policies.

For Diversity Day, we’re joining forces with Asian Raisins for Together Against Racism, a free online webinar about recognising racism and taking action as a bystander. You’ll learn more about how racism can show up, how to recognise it, and what you can do when you witness it.

Bisexuality Awareness Day 🩷💜💙 23 September is a day to recognise, celebrate and stand up for bi+ people and their visibility. With an estimated 1.7 million bi+ people in the Netherlands, bi+ people make up one of the largest groups under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. Yet they remain significantly underrepresented in diversity and inclusion efforts, and face unique challenges around belonging and safety at work. Creating truly inclusive workplaces means making sure bi+ experiences are part of the conversation. Met naar schatting 1,7 miljoen bi+ mensen in Nederland vormen zij een van de grootste groepen binnen de lhbtiqa+ gemeenschap. Toch krijgen bi+ mensen nog relatief weinig aandacht binnen diversiteits- en inclusiebeleid en ervaren zij specifieke uitdagingen rondom erbij horen en sociale veiligheid op het werk. Join us for a workshop in Rotterdam exploring what safety and belonging in the city mean to different identities.

What makes you feel safe in the city? When was the last time a stranger made you feel seen?

During the workshop, we’ll share our perspective and turn our experiences into a short audio piece using sounds, songs or memories.

No audio experience needed. We’ll guide you through the making process.

The stories created will help shape Blind Spots, an installation for Dutch Design Week where visitors can move through and encounter different narratives of safety, identity and belonging. With your consent, your contribution may become part of the final installation.
