It was a pleasure to participate in the Gulf Business Dialogue 2026 in Utrecht, bringing together Dutch entrepreneurs, companies, market experts, and representatives from the Dutch diplomatic and business network to explore the growing opportunities across the Gulf region.
The event was organized by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), commissioned by and in cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of Dutch embassies and the Regional Business Development Team in the Gulf.
One of the key takeaways from the discussions was clear: succeeding in Gulf markets is no longer simply about competing on price. It is increasingly about specialized expertise, added value, flexibility, local market understanding, and building the right relationships.
This creates significant opportunities for Dutch SMEs and startups that can deliver high-quality, specialized solutions while remaining agile and responsive to local market needs.
The dialogue also provided valuable insights into the different opportunities and market dynamics across the six GCC countries — Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain — and highlighted the importance of local partnerships, market knowledge, and a long-term approach when entering the region.
For AIM Projects, the event was more than an opportunity to learn and network. It was another important step in exploring how our expertise can contribute to the rapidly developing Gulf markets, particularly in research-driven marketing, continuing medical education, and specialized services for the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
We see strong potential to connect Dutch expertise with the evolving needs of the Gulf region and look forward to turning these conversations and new connections into meaningful partnerships and projects.

The Kurdish fashion and cultural presentation showcased more than colors, textiles, and melodies. It reflected generations of history, pride, belonging, and cultural continuity.
Every garment tells a story.
Every melody carries a memory.
Every tradition connects people across generations and borders.
At International Women for Development (IWDNL), we celebrate cultural heritage as a powerful bridge that fosters understanding, respect, inclusion, and dialogue between communities.
Today, we honor the richness of Kurdish culture and the values of diversity that strengthen our societies.
