WE’RE LOOKING FOR NEW STUDIO HOSTS!

As a host you’re the friendly face people see when they visit our station. The role consists of welcoming the artists, starting/stoping/recording the shows and helping out with the studio where necessary. All the training and support needed will be provided (so no prior knowledge is mandatory!), and shift times are flexible.

Hosts are also welcome to share any interesting ideas/projects with the team and make use of the studio gear to practice their DJing. This is a great opportunity to enter the wonderful world of online radio, meet music heads and cute friends, learn technical studio skills, and support your local Utrecht scene!

Underground hiphop with Eyes Look Left until 2pm! 👀

As part of Zenith & U Festival next week, Kristina Mau Hansen will be hosting a Field Recording Workshop. During this workshop, she will create space for collectively listening to De Nijverheid and the direct surroundings of the festival site. After a brief introduction to the history and art of creative field recording, Kristina will share the basics of how to use a field recorder and afterwards participants get to explore listening as a collective and in duos at De Nijverheid. After the workshop, the recordings (of participants who are happy to share them) will be broadcasted on Stranded FM.

Everyone is welcome, no experience is needed. The workshop will take place from 15:00 - 17:00 and there are limited spots available. If you’d like to join, make sure to sign up by sending an email to [email protected] and more information will follow.
