System Pilot

The goal of the band System Pilot is to bring a very tight, well played setlist of covers which are not that common and which will let old times relive. Think of songs by artists like Uriah Heep, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Kansas, Dream Theater, Journey, Queensrijche, Gary Moore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, UFO and many more. More songs will be added all the time ! System Pilot is in eerste instantie opgericht in 2006 door gitarist Marcel Coenen (Guitar Sun Caged, Stormrider, Time Machine) om naast Stormrider een coverband te hebben met wat lichter materiaal. Na korte tijd kwamen ook de leden Franck Faber (Keys, Guitar, Zang, ex-Lemur Voice), Jos Severens (Lead Zang, Up The Irons) en Aram Vincent Rogalski (Bass, ex-Sustain) de band versterken. Medeoprichter Spike op drum gaf al snel de stokjes door aan Roel van Helden (Drums Powerwolf, Sun Caged), die vervolgens 10 jaar bij de band is geweest. Doordat Roel echter steeds vaker vervangen werd door Hans in ’t zandt (Drums Praying Mantis, Parris) is hij in 2016 officieel erbij gekomen. Het doel van System Pilot is om een strakke, vet gespeelde setlist te spelen van oude nummers die niet zo standaard zijn en die oude tijden laten herleven. Denk aan nummers van bands als Uriah Heep, Whitesnake, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Kansas, Dream Theater, Journey, Queensrijche, Gary Moore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, UFO en vele anderen. Hierbij ligt de nadruk op spel, samenzang en een te gekke avond waarin flink kan worden meegezongen. System Pilot heeft vanaf 2006 veel gave optredens mogen verzorgen met als kroonstuk 3 keer Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel (2016/2018/2022)
