Programming an IC at the right stage prevents errors before they reach production.

In electronics manufacturing, every IC must be programmed with the correct firmware before it is assembled onto a PCBA. When an unprogrammed IC is only found during functional testing, it must be desoldered, programmed and reworked – adding cycle time, manual effort and risk.

To prevent this, the Kitron Global Automation Team developed an Automated IC Programming Machine that moves programming and verification to an earlier stage. It automatically handles, inspects, programs, verifies, sorts and marks each IC, so that only successfully programmed components are released for production.

Kitron wins prize for financial communication and investor relations! 🏆

We're thrilled to receive this year's Stockman Prize from Forening for finansfag Norge (Finance Society Norway), recognising the best financial and investor communication. Kitron won in the small and mid-cap category.

The jury highlighted the following strengths:

🔹 Clear, long-term strategy, including financial targets, assessments of risks and opportunities, market information and industry developments.
🔹 Corporate governance.
🔹 Open, credible and consistent information to all market participants.

This is the sixth time Kitron is nominated for the prize – and the first time we've taken it home.

“The foundation for positive recognition from investors and analysts is always the underlying operations and value creation – the work each of us does day in and day out. The next step is to communicate transparently about our business and the market – when things go well and when times are challenging. At Kitron, senior management – CEO Peter Nilsson and I – own this dialogue, and we use it to listen and learn, not just to inform,” says CFO Cathrin Nylander.

Thank you to all team members whose work made this possible – and to the analysts and investors who've engaged with us along the way!

We also congratulate Aker BP ASA, which won this year's prize in the open class, which includes the largest companies on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Kitron joined more than 210 industry leaders last week at the 2026 Electronics Day EMS Europe, hosted by Global Electronics Association Europe.

Our VP Nordics & North America, Hans Petter Thomassen, took part in the day's first panel discussion on building a resilient electronics ecosystem, alongside representatives from ALL Circuits and CIMULEC Group. Philip Stoten moderated.

One message resonated throughout the day – resilience cannot be built on policy alone. With Europe accounting for only around 2% of global PCB production, competitiveness, investment, and collaboration across the value chain are equally essential.

At Kitron, this is the work we do with our customers every day: strengthening manufacturing capacity across our European sites to help keep production close to market, highly qualified, and dependable.

A huge milestone for Kitron: the opening of Kitron Longum 🎉

On Tuesday, we officially opened our new manufacturing facility at Longum, just outside Arendal, Norway, together with customers, business partners, investors, employees, media and representatives from national and local authorities.

The ceremony featured speeches from the Chairman of the Kitron ASA Board, Tuomo Lähdesmäki, and the VP Nordics & North America, Hans Petter Thomassen. In the evening, our President & CEO, Peter Nilsson, and the Mayor of Arendal, Robert Cornels Nordli, welcomed guests at the dinner.

Guests toured the new facility in small groups, with presentations along the way covering test development, supply chain resilience, manufacturing, quality and compliance, and technical services.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the colleagues who made the day happen.

The Norwegian defence and security community is gathered at NOVA Spektrum today, and so are we. Geir Martin Thorsen, Gøran Skorstad, Frode Ilebekk and Stein-Roger Fiskum are in Lillestrøm, come and meet them.

Capacity, qualification and lead times are near the top of everyone's agenda this year. With our newly opened Kitron Longum facility in Norway, we are adding further capacity and flexibility, strengthening our ability to support customers as their production needs grow and evolve.

If you would like to understand how Kitron approaches these priorities in practice, from component sourcing and test development through to serial manufacturing across several of our sites, today is a great chance to speak to our team.

Celebrating a special milestone at Kitron Lithuania: our 25th anniversary! 🎉

At the end of July 2001, Kitron opened the doors of its manufacturing site in Kaunas. Twenty-five years on, Kitron Lithuania has grown into a strong and established site in the Kitron Group, with six SMT lines and around 600 skilled and dedicated employees serving customers worldwide.

To celebrate, colleagues came together for a day filled with themed trivia, music, great food and plenty of shared memories and laughter, honouring the journey we have made together.

Here's to 25 years of commitment, innovation and engagement, and to many more ahead. Thank you for being part of the Kitron Lithuania story!

Last week, the Kitron Sweden team took part in Blodomloppet 2026, joining participants from across the country in support of a cause worth turning up for: raising awareness of the importance of blood donation.

Organised by Blodomloppet Sverige, the event brings together companies, municipalities and regional organisations for a run that prioritises participation over pace. It aims to draw attention to this worthy service, encourage more people to become donors and, overall, promote a healthy, active lifestyle, whether through walking, jogging or running.

At Kitron, we strive for everyone in the company to have as many opportunities as possible to look after their health and contribute to the communities we're part of. We're very proud of our colleagues in Sweden who've done exactly that!

Kitron is once again proud to be part of Arendalsuka, right here in our hometown of Arendal, as we have been every year since it began.

For one week, from 10 to 14 August, Arendal becomes Norway's largest arena for public debate, drawing tens of thousands to hear politicians, business leaders and public institutions work through the issues shaping the country.

Defence and security, NATO cooperation, Nordic resilience – this year's Arendalsuka themes put the spotlight on the areas we work in every day, manufacturing high-reliability electronics for Defence and Aerospace.

Earlier in the week, Hans Petter Thomassen and Stian Haugen joined debates on defence cooperation with the Nordic countries and on alliances for Ukraine's victory at the Ukrainian Democracy and Victory Hub, alongside representatives from KONGSBERG and Nammo AS, as well as key political decision-makers.

Later in the week, Hans Petter shared his perspective on the surge in defence investment, with Stian joining him for a panel on Ukraine's backbone in civil society, business and rehabilitation.

Arendalsuka – always a pleasure to take part. Until the next one! 👋
