When your little one is unsettled, this gentle checklist may help:

🍼 Check for hunger
Look for early signs such as opening the mouth, turning the head or bringing the hands toward the face.

👶 Check the diaper
A wet or dirty diaper can quickly make a newborn uncomfortable.

🌡️ Check the temperature
Feel the baby’s chest or the back of the neck. Cold hands and feet do not always mean that the baby is cold.

🤍 Hold and soothe
Gentle rocking, skin to skin contact and a calm voice can help your baby feel safe and comforted.

🫧 Help your baby burp
Air swallowed during feeding may cause discomfort. Hold your baby upright and gently pat or rub their back.
