Velkommen innom!

Oslo Art Weekend 28 – 31 MAY.

Join us for Stian Korntved Ruud’s performance on Thursday, May 28, at 4:30 PM!

One of the main works in the exhibition ‘Patterns of Interference’ by is a modified piano instrument that is self-playing, but can also be used for musical improvisations. The artist will perform with the instrument on Thursday afternoon, May 28.

Stian Korntved Ruud works at the intersection of sculpture, sound, craft and system-based experimentation. Through self-developed instruments, mechanical objects, process-based sculptures and everyday actions, the works explore how time, repetition, material resistance and simple rules can produce complex forms and experiences.

Sound in this context is treated as a physical material on a par with wood, metal and mechanical components. Something that can be shaped, accumulated, shifted and set in resonance with its surroundings.

Stian Korntved Ruud (b. 1989, Bærum) is a product designer educated at Oslo Met and was one of the founders of the design group Kneip. He has exhibited internationally and is represented at the National Museum, Oslo, and KODE in Bergen.

It is with great sadness that we received the news that ceramic artist Helen Hausland has passed away.

Hausland was last shown at Ram Galleri in the group exhibition Zea Mays in 2022. Two of her works were sold through RAM Galleri and are now permanently placed at the activity centre of Lillesand Municipality. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones.

We are proud to announce another important museum acquisition from the exhibition Time Flies, by jewelry artist Konrad Mehus. Three works from 1995, entitled Anabolic Championship (Anabolt mesterskap (Gold, Silver & Bronse), will enter the collections of KODE Art Museums in Bergen. The works comment on several scandals involving the use of steroids by Olympic athletes.

Wr are delighted to announce that the Norwegian National Museum of Art has acquired several important pieces from our current exhibition with the legendary jewelry artist Konrad Mehus. Born in 1941, Mehus initiated his career as a goldsmith, but developed his practice towards art jewelry, working primarily with silver and scrap metal from tin cans. His works are often characterized by a rebellious spirit and dark humor.
