Easter in Oslo – or bypåske, as we call it 🐣🌼

The essentials? Solo, Kvikk Lunsj, and hot dogs 🌭
The only thing we’re missing… is the sun ☀️

But Oslo still delivers—quiet streets, fresh air, and a city ready to be explored.
Perfect time to experience the capital like a local.

Happy Easter from Oslo Guidebureau! 💛

✨ Women who guide the way ✨

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women behind Oslo Guidebureau.

Founded by certified Oslo guides Marit and Hilde, our company was created with one goal: to give visitors authentic, memorable experiences in Oslo. Today, Marit and Line continue that vision, leading a passionate team — mostly women — who love sharing the stories, culture, and hidden gems of our city.

What makes us unique? Local knowledge, personal storytelling, and guides who truly care about every guest’s experience.

Come explore Oslo with the people who know and love it best.

Imagine being 15 years old and running to work before sunrise.
Every morning, girls hurried across Beierbrua to the factories along Akerselva - half awake, racing before the gates closed.
The four young women reminds us of the “fabrikkjenter” whose hard work build Oslo.

This Sunday, on International Woman’s Day, we celebrate their strength 💪🏻
Their stories still flow through Oslo, just like the river beside them.

Today we celebrating Santa Lucia with a beautiful lussekatt from Erketunet bakeri.

Lussekatter are the traditional saffron buns baked for Lucia Day — soft, golden, and shaped into the classic curled “S” that symbolizes light and protection. The bright yellow color comes from saffron, one of the world’s most precious spices, which has been used in Scandinavian Lucia celebrations for centuries to bring warmth and brightness into the darkest time of year.

Wishing everyone a warm and bright Santa Lucia — may your day be filled with candles, coziness, and delicious treats. 💛🕯️✨
