Tidsmaskinen Lydstudio

I´ve collected vintage recording gear for more than 20 years and now it´s all is gathered in this TimeCapsule Recording Studio in Sortland- a small town in the northern parts of Norway. And its really what you expect to be in a recording studio from the mid-sixties: 4 and eight track machines, an old tube desk, spring reverb, tape-echo, tube microphones and compressors. Tannoy monitoring with tube amps, Very primitive compared to modern digital facilities. We record the way did 50 years ago- straight to tape. When tracks are filled up- we´ ll do a reductionmix to another four track machine or eight track. Decisions are made and echo, reverb and other effects are added during recording prosess and not necessarely in the final mix. That´s good for the sake of performance. The studio is moving back home. Into the basement of our house. Two bedrooms, livingroom, kitchen, bathroom.
