The Climate Vanguard Fellows stepped into the shoes of global climate negotiators through a Mock COP Negotiation, exploring the complexities of international climate diplomacy, competing national interests, and the challenges of reaching collective agreements.

From national priorities to global commitments, the session put climate diplomacy, negotiation, and collaboration into practice. 🤝🌱

Turning local plans into climate action.

The Climate Vanguard Fellows engaged in a collaborative LAPA (Local Adaptation Plan of Action) Review, reflecting on local climate priorities, challenges, and adaptation needs. Through discussion and teamwork, the session encouraged fellows to connect community realities with meaningful climate action. 🌍🤝

As part of the Climate Vanguard Fellowship 2026, fellows participated in a mock negotiation on the Hetauda Road Expansion, taking on the perspectives of the Government, SCO, and affected people.

The simulation explored the competing interests, concerns, and possible pathways toward a more inclusive and equitable approach to development. 🤝🌱

🌍 Climate Session: Nepal’s Climate Emergency
The fourth session of Day 01 of Climate Vanguard Fellowship 2026 took the fellows deeper into the realities of Nepal’s growing climate emergency.
The session, facilitated by climate activist Mr. Sagar Karki from Better Chitwan, explored Nepal’s climate vulnerabilities, the impacts communities are already experiencing, and the urgency of turning awareness into meaningful climate action. 🌱
An engaging session that encouraged fellows to look beyond the crisis, question existing approaches, and think about what role young people can play in shaping a climate-resilient future. 💚
