International Volunteer Organization of IT Girls/Women
GiT is an International Volunteer Organization of IT Girls/Women established in 2015
formed by group of seven girls from different places of kathmandu valley.It is formed with
an intention to bring more girls in the Field of IT and communications.With the vision of bringing
more girls in the ICT sector and awaring them about the vast scope of programming technology worldwide and nation itself, GiT is trying as much to contribute for it through social media, networkings and educational sectors. It is currently in joint collaboration with Creators Institute of Business & Technology (a
training institute) which delivers programming classes on different programming languages . ICT Sector has always been considered a male dominated sector .Most high value and high
income jobs have been occupied by male gender.Though if few women/girls are involved in ICT occupation,they strongly represent in lower level occupations.A survey shows only 30% in operations technicians,15%managerand11% strategy and planning professionals.We , GiT has been strongly influenced by a strong saying of UN SECRETARY General ,Ban ki Moon -
“Equality for girls and women is not only a basic human right,it is a
social and economic imperative.Where women are educated and empowered,economies
are more strong and powerful.Where women are fully represented, societies are more
