Immigration Changes Coming – 24 August 2026

With new Immigration New Zealand rules taking effect from 24 August 2026, many visa and residence applicants will be reviewing their application requirements. Changes include updates to the Skilled Migrant Category and other immigration pathways.

If your application requires Police Clearance Certificates or certified fingerprinting, it's important to start the process early. Many overseas authorities can take weeks, or even months to issue police certificates, and Immigration New Zealand generally requires them to be less than 6 months old when your application is submitted.
