COEC is a library for member schools in the lower part of the South Island through provision of classroom resources.
Our collection caters for Home Schooling, Early Childhood, Primary, and Intermediate levels encompassing all areas of the curriculum. COEC operates a resource library for member schools throughout the lower part of the South Island, and sells educational resources throughout New Zealand. The Central Otago Education Centre works in partnership with educators to facilitate access and knowledge thro

Hi all, open again today 1-4 if you are about!
COEC will be open Monday 13 July on limited hours with Janice available 10-12 as I am off due to ill health. I am not yet sure if I will be back on Thursday at this stage but if your need is urgent, please message me and I will see if I can get someone to assist you.

The Call of the Wild. Did you know this book was banned during WWll? Following a dog named Buck through violence and hardship, loyalty and loss, finally finding himself and his home in the Yukon wilderness.
We have a set of 6 books and an accompanying literature unit available to borrow.
We are aware of public catalogue issues and apologise for the inconvenience caused. We are working hard to rectify this. Thank you for your patience.

Our most popular book Term 1, as schools followed the Cavalcade and its history, and the Otago Gold Rush

Thank goodness we don’t use this system anymore! And ours is being upgraded to https! Coming soon!
We will be having a system upgrade soon! This means our website COEC.co.nz will be unavailable for a short period while this happens. The upgrade will also make our website secure which means schools will be able to access our site easier! Wohoo!

In Cinders' Shoes
Cinderella tripped and stumbled
Through the palace door.
Perhaps that might have been because
Her feet were very sore.
Glass shoes would pinch your toes and heels
And make your ankles hurt.
(Not only that, they wouldn't hide
A single trace of dirt!)
Though in the end she really had
More luck than both her sisters,
Poor old Cinders must have had
Some big and painful blisters!

Fossils, natural science, place value, early counting and equation skills, early alpha games, gold mining and early Otago, SRA kits both reading and maths, duplo and puzzles, book sets.

What are your thoughts on COEC providing individual copies of books to be used as Read Aloud to your class?
I have some dont fit in sets and thought this could be a pathway for their use.
I would love your feedback and title suggestions also.
