As the sun goes down this Thursday, the creative heart of Auckland will come alive ✨

We are incredibly proud to support Te Karanga-a-Hape Matariki – a beautiful, free Matariki celebration of community and creativity right on our doorstep.

From 5pm, K’ Road will be closed between Queen and Pitt Streets, and transformed into a vibrant winter festival. Gather around the circular stage which will rise from the rainbow crossing outside St Kevin’s Arcade, surrounded by fire pits and communal tables, creating a place for people to come together, share kai, reflect and celebrate Matariki. Experience stunning large-scale light installations and an incredible free music line-up featuring Ladi6, Halfqueen, and Mā.

You’re welcome to begin your evening at Abstract: Before you immerse yourself in the magic of the street, lock in a cosy spot. Drop by the Terrace Bar, grab a comforting Italian meal at Alla Prossima, or turn the festivities into the ultimate winter staycation in one of our boutique rooms.
