INHOPE and Kindred Tech sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
Bree Atkinson, CEO at Kindred Tech, and Samantha Woolfe, INHOPE have signed a MoU strengthening collaboration between the two organisations, including INHOPE's use of Kindred Tech's Hermes platform for the application and hosting of training data and material of the Universal Classification Schema.
This agreement outlines the framework for ongoing collaboration between the organisations, covering the classification and categorisation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) using the Schema in Kindred Tech tools and supporting INHOPE Secretariat staff with the secure file-sharing Hermes tool. We commit to exploring mutual interest in future joint projects in online child protection and internet safety, reinforcing a shared commitment to tackling child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Kindred Tech builds technology that strengthens the global response to online child sexual abuse, empowering law enforcement investigators, hotline analysts, and partners on the frontline.

Kindred Tech is proud to be supporting c0c0n 2026 in several ways this year.
We’re delivering a specialist Senior Leaders Training Programme for law enforcement, supporting HacKP teams as they build practical technology for law enforcement on site, and presenting at the conference on CSEA investigations, technology and innovation.
A great week of collaboration, capability building and turning ideas into real-world impact.
If you’re attending c0c0n 2026, come and find us, join the conversation, and see how we can work together to strengthen the global response to online child sexual exploitation.
What a week at the YTVC Conference in Australia, hosted by the Queensland Police Service.
We shared our mental wellbeing initiative built for the people who spend their days confronting some of the hardest content imaginable: the investigators, analysts, and frontline officers protecting children.
The work these teams do takes a real toll, and looking after their wellbeing isn't optional, it's essential.
At YTVC we shared practical, accessible resources: guided breathing exercises, games to decompress, and tools designed to help teams reset and recharge.
We also sold BeardCompany merchandise throughout the conference, with every dollar going toward a single goal: making mental health resources available to all law enforcement for free, and in multiple languages.
A huge thank you to Queensland Police Service for hosting us, and to everyone who stopped by, picked up merch, and backed the mission thank you. This is just the beginning. 🖤

Introducing The Beard Company — supporting the people behind the badge.
Kindred Tech is proud to launch The Beard Company, a new initiative focused on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of law enforcement officers, first responders, and those working in high-impact investigative roles.
The Beard Company is designed to be practical. The website brings together simple exercises to help check in on your mental wellbeing, activities and games that can provide a mental reset, and links to trusted support resources in multiple languages.
Our aim is simple: make useful wellbeing resources easier to access, normalise conversations around mental health, and create something that investigators and first responders will actually use.
You can support The Beard Company in two ways:
👉 Purchase something from the website — merchandise sales help us continue developing and providing wellbeing resources.
👉 Share the website with a colleague — because the person who needs a resource may not be the person who goes looking for one.
Sometimes support is a conversation. Sometimes it's a practical tool. Sometimes it's simply knowing where to look when you need it.
Have a look. Buy something. Share it with your team. Grow the beard. Support the mission. 🧔

Kindred Tech is proud to be speaking at the upcoming YTVC Conference on:
Breaking Down Silos: How Open Hash-Sharing Infrastructure Enables Meaningful International Collaboration in CSAM Investigations
Effective international collaboration depends on trusted infrastructure that allows law enforcement agencies to securely share intelligence, identify connections across jurisdictions and reduce duplicated effort.
Our session will explore how open hash-sharing infrastructure can break down organisational and geographic silos, enabling investigators to collaborate more effectively, strengthen investigations, identify victims and disrupt offenders.
Law enforcement attendees are also invited to visit the Kindred Tech team during YTVC to access free operational tools, including:
🔹 Prometheus – secure hash sharing for law enforcement
🔹 Apella – secure communications
🔹 Hermes – secure file sharing between trusted agencies
🔹 Other free tools and resources designed for investigators
Come and speak with us during the conference to learn more, register for access and tell us what capabilities are missing from your investigative workflow.

A New Chapter in Hash Intelligence: Prometheus is Now Live
For years, hash sharing has been a critical tool in identifying known harmful material and accelerating investigations. But it has often been fragmented—locked within platforms, constrained by access, and limited by technical barriers.
Today, we’re changing that:
We’re proud to publicly launch Prometheus — an open hash sharing platform designed to give agencies, industry, and investigators the ability to share and use hash intelligence without restriction.
At its core, Prometheus is built on a simple principle:
Intelligence should move where investigators need it — not be trapped inside tools.
What Prometheus Enables
• A neutral platform for publishing and accessing hash sets
• Interoperability across investigative tools and workflows
• Greater control for contributors over their own data
• A scalable, collaborative intelligence ecosystem
Our Three-Phase Vision
Phase One — Empower Sharing
Remove friction. Make it easier for agencies and partners to share valuable hash intelligence.
Phase Two — Increase Impact
Provide insight into how datasets are used, helping organisations refine and strengthen their intelligence.
Phase Three — Transform the Ecosystem
Evolve into a next-generation network where datasets are enriched, connected, and analysed collectively — shifting from isolated data to shared intelligence at scale.
This is not just a platform release. It’s a structural shift in how hash intelligence is shared, understood, and applied.
We are now onboarding agencies, trusted partners, and contributors who want to be part of a more open, effective, and collaborative intelligence ecosystem.

Kindred Tech Joins Global Call to Ban Nudifying Tools and Protect Children from Exploitation
New Zealand – Today, on Safer Internet Day, Kindred Tech stands with over 100 organizations, institutions and individuals globally to demand urgent action against nudifying tools—technology designed to create non-consensual n**e and abusive imagery, disproportionately targeting children and women.
These tools fuel sexual exploitation, extortion, and harm, yet remain widely accessible with impunity. Together with Child Helpline International, INHOPE, the Internet Watch Foundation, NCMEC, Offlimits, Safe Online and We Protect Global Alliance, we call for:
• Global recognition of the irreparable harm these tools inflict.
• Accountability for tech companies to implement safety-by-design protections
• Legal bans on development, distribution, and use of nudifying apps and functionalities.

Kindred Tech was proud to be apart of this event in Brazil and continue to grow the global pack membership of dedicated child protectors.
In partnership with Onemi-Global Solutions, Kindred Tech, and international law enforcement, we supported an advanced Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) for Child Victim Identification course in Brazil. By applying new OSINT skills to real cases, investigators identified 7 child victims, 5 offenders, and 4 abuse locations. Of the 7 identified child victims, 2 have been safeguarded!
We are deeply grateful for these dedicated men and women who work tirelessly to protect children. They are committed to improving how children are identified and safeguarded.
