[ Ring-A-Date ] Calendars are back! Just touched down from Italy, transported through time from the 1970s.

Designed by Giorgio Della Beffa, this new production of the original was put into action by the family, a few generations down the line.

Track the date and day with a morning routine that is both informative and ritualistic. Plus it looks awesome on your wall.

Made in Italy. Green, white and orange are now back in stock.

A pair of black [ POP ] Coat Stands have hit the store. Designed by Raul Barbieri c.2008. Produced by Rexite in Italy.

Super functional, there’s both larger and smaller hooks that freely rotate, alongside an umbrella rest and drip tray for when the weather isn’t playing ball. Constructed in several pieces, the umbrella stand and tray can be removed for a more streamline look if desired.

Rounded tapered hooks give this piece softness as well as a distinctly biomorphic feel. Clean and linear, yet subtly playful.

2 available, these didn’t last long last time.

Rare Vintage [ Porsche 917 ] Bar Car & Music Box, produced by Golden Crown in Hong Kong c.1970s.

Modelled off the car that gave Porsche its very first overall win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970 and 1971. A space age metal body, that when the lid is lifted, reveals a set of 4 shot glasses and a square decanter, with a classic wind up music box playing when the bottle is removed.

‘Bar Cars’ were a massive international craze in the 60s and 70s. However, almost all other novelty decanter cars manufactured at the time were designed as antique, early-20th-century vehicles [ like the 1918 Ford Model T or the 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom ]. This was one of the rare exceptions that featured a sleek, contemporary racing car silhouette instead of a nostalgic brass-era design.

Originally labelled 617 yet closely resembling the 917, this is likely a tactic used to avoid Porsche’s legal department when these were in production.

A generous scale of 40cm, it looks undeniably cool and serves a practical function too.

Black [ Periscopio ] Table / Clamp Lamp by Danilo & Corrado Aroldi for Stilnovo c.1967.

A particularly clever piece of Italian lighting design, the [ Periscopio ] is a compact table lamp that transforms into a clamp lamp by removing its weighted cast base.

The articulated stem allows the light to be positioned with ease, bending back and forth and also rotating, from 90degrees up to vertical. The clamp lets you place it upside-down or sideways for some really interesting and angles. The simple construction gives the lamp its distinctive, almost industrial character.

Used with its cast base, it works beautifully as a desk or bedside lamp or remove the base and the body can be secured directly to a table, shelf or work surface.

A great example of the practical ingenuity that defined Italian lighting of the period, understated, highly functional yet sculptural.

An awesome piece of early-2000s Formula 1 trackside culture.

This official Ferrari paddock accessory balances industrial utility with Italian racing heritage. Originally designed to hold ear protection [ the original pair is included ] during high-decibel Grand Prix events, this cylindrical capsule works well today on your keys or as a modular jewellery piece.

The silver-toned canister features a secure twist-top lid and the classic Prancing Horse logo.

In unused condition with its original tag, over the last two decades, the metal has developed a some patina and light wear with age.

A special [ Puffer ] Cushion.

A limited collaboration between designer Matan Fadida and artist Kevin D**g sees a unique take on the classic cushion you all love.

The hand drawn artwork by Kevin D**g from his “Snow on the path” exhibition has been printed onto a durable white vinyl, an intriguing combination of form and graphic detail when paired with the curved ridges of the cushion.

Handmade by Matan here in Auckland and finished to the highest standard. Printed artwork on the front face, plain white vinyl on the other.

Just 4 of these were produced.

I’ve been searching for the perfect notebook for years, something that isn’t encumbered with crazy branding or unnecessary details.

The hunt is finally over.

Hand finished in Japan in small quantities, the canvas bound spine is defined by a simple utilitarian coding system. Less branding, and more an echo of past manufacturing processes and military style categorisation.

Made for everyday use, the blank pages give you the freedom to write or sketch to your hearts desire. Crafted from lightweight comic paper, it has a satisfying textural quality that feels excellent under pen or pencil.

2 sizes available in Black or Grey, alongside a compact perforated memo pad. There’s a perfect size for any function.

Available in New Zealand only at KIOSK.

[ Tsaikka ] Glass & Steel Mugs by Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala c.1957

An Idea formed after a visit to a local zipper factory, Sarpaneva noticed the intriguing pattern left by in the off-cuts following the sheet steel stamping process.

A design rooted in making use of excess manufacturing waste, with the original production runs in the 50s actually using these zipper off-cuts to create the mugs.

The figure-8 handle is comfortable in hand, with the curves echoes in the concave impression on the glass itself.

A functional and elegant daily mug that embodies a design process that is relevant now more than ever.

5 pairs available. Online at KIOSK.

The [ Bombo ] barstool, a sculptural modern classic, designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Magis c.1996.

Drawing inspiration from the space age era of the 1970s, their sweeping curves and classic single piece tub seat give them a subtly playful feel while maintaining a sleek timeless look in any space.

So good, it has become one of the most copied and counterfeited stools in the world, a double edged sword when it comes to furniture and design objects. It’s flattering, but just like copying someone’s homework, the replicated end result lacks process, technical thinking and ex*****on, and soul. Any respect for the original designer a manufacturer is lost.

Adjustable in height with a gas lift, they swivel with a generous 360degree range of motion.

A pair available in dark grey. Online at KIOSK.
