A big ensemble cast for this one across multiple spots…
Produced by the amazing Bex Morrison for Reel Factory and directed by the man, Sam Deane. This BK series rocked.
In the audition studio, while the actors had a base scenario or script, improvisation was welcomed. And so we had groups of actors vibing with these comic scenarios.
Chemistry was key. Safe to say, Bear & Fred (that’s a comedy duo name right there) demonstrate that perfectly here. Comedy chops & chemistry, for days.

This one for Mounjaro. We assembled a lovely cast, with Amanda, Philip & Gala.
Produced by the great Tim Costar at Clockwork and Directed by the ever prolific James (Ando) Anderson, the scenarios were knowingly bizarre. - The casting studio is essentially 2 lights, a camera, and some friendly faces (that’s us).
So every time, we really do require actors to imagine and endow the space with being wherever it needs to be.
If it’s walking across a farm paddock holding a giant fish, then that’s what it is. Thanks Amanda ;)
Safe to say, it was a treat to cast.

Produced by Georgia Taylor for Two Heads and directed by ‘Ando’ aka James Anderson. These wee comedy scripts really sing.
Dan and Gabriela with lovely performances, really playing their roles and worlds absolutely straight. - Allows for the situation to unfold and the comic payoff be realised.

Arthur Miller’s A View from The Bridge 02/04/2026

As soon as the cast lineup was officially announced, I've never been more excited about a show than I am about Silo Theatre's upcoming production of - A View From The Bridge. The stars have indeed aligned. The director & cast are exquisite. I tip my hat to the skillful casting. Specific, assured, refreshing, and deliberate.
If you see ONE theatre show this year, PLEASE make it this one. Tickets are as low as $25 for industry/actors. It is a must see. I don't say this lightly. Do NOT miss it.
- If you want to be an actor. If you want to be inspired as an actor. If you want to feel something. If you want to see what's possible. If you want to get excited about this craft, this profession. Reinvigorate your belief in live performance. If you want a truly legitimate reason to put down the remote... Go and see this play.

For the second year now, we’re proud to have cast the Qantas campaign. Produced by the amazing Matt & Michelle at Supernormal, and directed by Kick-A director Liv McClymont. This was a special one.
Our first task was to find real people with a real Trans-Tasman story. Then cast the actors to match. A beautiful story about family, connection, following your dreams, and reunion. And then there’s the carrier that brings them all together. Nice one Qantas. 🥂

The second in a series of three spots we cast for SKY. - We found the perfect actor for this role, in Hennie. Lovely performance. - As a casting director, I always like to run with the script as is. But if the actor is up for it, it's always fun to do a couple of takes where the actor is cutting loose and improvising. It can really unearth some gems. Sometimes improvised moments can even end up in the final ad. Other times not. But at the very least, an ability to improvise within a given scenario shows off an actors skill set. And that, in turn, can instil confidence in all the decision makers that this actor is a safe bet for the job. - Looking forward to this Saturday...

Shot on film in the stunning South Island town of Twizel, When The Geese Flew had its’ world premiere earlier this year at Cannes. Then it was on to NZIFF 2025.
Directed so skillfully by Arthur Gay and produced by the amazing Laura Ganotis, it’s a stunning example of cinematic beauty and storytelling. We’re very proud to have cast this one.

What constitutes a performance? The briefest story beat often absolutely requires an actor with chops. No dialogue does not = No need for an actor. - In this series of slick 15” spots we cast for director James Anderson and his prod. co. Two Heads, we needed actors that could convey a thought, in a moment. No easy task. Big ups to our wonderful actors. It was a fun few days in the studio casting these. The campaign is still rolling out, so these are still just out o’ the oven...

I'll always jump at the chance to work with director and legendary producer Julie Elstone of - Mike gave me my first job as a casting assistant way back when🍻. - Featuring that man who has 'funny' in his bones .daymond and the big fluffy purple guy himself, who wouldn't wanna hit the road with these two?! - Need to get me one of those shakes...
