More than 120 secondary and tertiary learners from across Tāmaki Makaurau – Auckland will converge on our Mt Albert Campus this week to tackle real-world challenges using artificial intelligence at the Aotearoa AI Hackathon Festival. Unitec alumni Sara Wiseman, Marianne Infante and Amanda Tito are taking the stage together with a cohort of our current Unitec third year acting students in Auckland Theatre Company’s production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, on until 22 August at ASB Waterfront Theatre. Kia orāna kōtou kātoatoa! This year's theme for Cook Islands Māori Language Week is "With our language as our foundation, we will embrace the future"- that's something we can all get behind!
Try out some simple phrases by swiping through the tiles, and enjoy epetoma o te reo Māori Kūki 'Airani!
On Friday close to 70 current and former kaimahi, alongside friends, volunteers and members of the wider community, gathered to farewell Sanctuary Mahi Whenua with a special karakia. Here's a glimpse of the gathering, focused on acknowledging the site's enduring legacy.

We are currently hosting the Top Art NZQA Exhibition at the Toi o Wairaka Gallery on our Mt Albert Campus. Featuring 96 outstanding student works, it's a springboard for Aotearoa's top arts talent.
