West Coast Rangers FC

We’re excited to announce that registrations are now open for Term 4 Summer Youth Academy training at West Coast Rangers FC!

This opportunity is open to current players and prospective academy players from outside the club who want to prove they have what it takes to be an academy player next season!

Term 4 is one of the most valuable times of the year for young players to continue their development and while many take a break, those who stay committed during this period often see a noticeable leap in their skills, confidence, and overall game understanding.

It’s during these quieter months that focused training really pays off, giving players the chance to pull ahead of their peers and return to the regular season stronger than ever.

We’re looking forward to getting back into training and helping our players build on the progress they’ve made so far!

🔵⚫⚪ Congratulations to Dani Canham for her Player of the Match performance on Saturday against Eastern Suburbs AFC.
It may not have been the result our Womens Premiership side were after in their first Dettol National League Championship outing for 2026 but after losing a player early the team really dug out a great performance the scoreline doesn't reflect and Dani was huge in the centre of the park to make this happen.

If there was a parade it definitely got rained on. Final score here at Fred Taylor is 0-4 to Eastern Suburbs AFC

We go again next Sat, welcoming Waterside Karori and to Fred Taylor Park.

THANK YOU, CHAD

After five years leading our Men’s 1st Team, West Coast Rangers would like to thank Chad Coombes for his outstanding commitment, passion, and contribution to the club.

As part of the club’s restructuring plans for 2027, Chad will not be returning to the Men’s 1st Team, with West Coast Rangers now exploring other options, including the introduction of a full-time Academy Director / Men’s 1st Team Head Coach role. This forms part of our broader vision to further strengthen the connection between our Academy, player development pathway and Men’s 1st Team.

Chad has been a huge part of the journey of our Men’s programme, helping deliver some memorable achievements along the way, including winning the 2022 NRFL Championship and a 7th-place finish in the 2023 NZF Northern League.

His impact has extended well beyond results, as Chad has played a significant role in developing and progressing young players into the Men’s 1st Team, helping create opportunities for the next generation of WCR players to step up and compete at senior level.

Chad has also enjoyed success on the national stage with our U19 and U17 teams. In 2024, we reached the U17 Nationals semi-finals at Western Springs, the highest finish in club history, and in 2025 made the U19 Nationals quarter-finals in Napier.

Throughout his time at WCR, Chad has consistently shown a genuine passion for the players, the team and the club, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and commitment he has given to West Coast Rangers.

From everyone at WCR, thank you Chad, and we wish you, your family and your footballing journey all the very best for the future.

West Coast Rangers FC would like to say ... GOOD LUCK!! ... to our u14 boys who are off to Gold Coast, Australia to compete in the Premier Invitational Tournament next week.

West Coast Rangers have joined with our partner club, Northland FC, to play under the Northland Rangers banner in the competition.

Good luck to the coaching staff Andy Dunn, Deon Hales and all involved.

Even more to celebrate for another of our young players going to represent their country on the international stage!

Jeremiah (Jere) Williams is West Coast Rangers U23 Men's Captain and has recently been voted their Player of the Year for 2026.

To round off a wonderful 2026 Jere has now been chosen to represent the Cook Islands in their upcoming friendlies against Tahiti.

The Cook Islands National Men’s Team will face Tahiti in two FIFA Series international friendlies at the CIFA Complex in Rarotonga on Saturday 26 September and Wednesday 30 September and Jere will be an integral part of that squad.

From everyone at West Coast Rangers, CONGRATULATIONS JERE! ... we are so very proud of you!
