West Coast Rangers Guardians took to the field last weekend for a match against Albany United All Reds in the NRF Girls U12/13 North League at Rosedale Park.

Though they played well the Girls ended the first half a goal behind but coach KENDALL BINDON must have provided some sound advice at the break as they came out with some real belief for the second half!

PAIGE JAMIESON looked to control her wing and LEAH CORRIGAN was proving tough to beat at the back ... and then up stepped the star of the show HOLLY WILLIAMSON!

1 .... 2 .... 3 goals and a hattrick in the second half from Holly saw Rangers end the game 3 - 1 victors!

Coach Kendall Bindon said ... 'What a great come from behind win for the girls who never gave up, showed true team spirit and were rewarded with some good goals.'

Following the weekends amazing comeback, Rangers are on the road, midweek, under lights, at Bay City Park, where they are hosted by Hibiscus Coast in a 7.30pm Kick Off.

Another bout of excitement to enjoy as Rangers continue to push for the top spots!

On Sunday West Coast Rangers Mixed 12th grade Black team took part in the Manurewa Tournament hoping for a good run of results to see them as far through the competition as possible.

They started well winning Group C and earning a spot in the Quarter Finals, where they took Northland to penalties ... and won!

The result gave them a semi final match against Ellerslie, which they battled hard for and earned a tough 3-0 win through goals from ARNAAV GOVIND (2) and LIAM SCHOFIELD ... THEY'D MADE IT TO THE FINAL!!!

The final saw them play Auckland United and in a good first half Rangers took the lead through ARNAAV GOVIND!
United came back at them in the second half, but in an outstanding defensive performance Rangers held their form and their nerve to the final whistle ... THEY WERE THE GOLD CUP CHAMPIONS!!!

Coach Sam McIntosh said ... 'Credit to everyone in this team, they played together throughout, providing encouragement and energy to each other in EVERY game! A real team win and well deserved'!

Not only was ARNAAV GOVIND named Tournament 'Most Valuable Player' but Rangers came second in 'Winning Team Spirit' and also second in 'Rallied Team Spirit' ... What an achievement for everyone showing all the values of a West Coast Rangers team!!

Not quite the result we wanted, after Olivia Curgenven had given Rangers the lead, but a stunning free kick gave Springs a share of the spoils!
