As the tale goes, a strange yet ferocious Taniwha has plagued the mighty Waikato River for generations. Though sightings are rear, the story of this formidable river monster have been passed down. Some say it's the spiritual protector of those waters and others claim it snatches unsupervised children playing in the shallows. The Waikato Taniwha remains a true mythical legend around motu enstilling fear into even the most skeptic. Today, for the first time we can finally put those stories and myths to bed and pubically state that it was just old mate OO GISH Comedian - Busker just having his biannual bath when passing through.
