Another laboratory machine out the door today, heading for Ireland! 🇮🇪

Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, our soil grinder prepares soil samples for laboratory testing rapidly and efficiently, without compromising soil integrity.

We’ve had a busy few weeks with lots of early mornings, with 3 install teams simultaneously on site across the country wrapping up some major automation projects.
A massive thank you to our teams on the road for the hard work, and to our customers for partnering with us to automate their processes.

Our workshop is humming with lots of projects on the go, one is a robot upgrade for our long-standing customer, LIC. As a trusted partner in their automation for over 25 years, our team is currently upgrading one of their robotic systems which will include enhanced safety features.

Nearly 30 years ago, Motion Design started with a classic Kiwi "number 8 wire" mentality. Today, we are proud to be a trusted international automation partner—still designing and manufacturing everything right here in New Zealand. We recently delivered an 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 for a high-profile New Zealand dairy customer.
The system punctures sealed cartons, sub-samples liquids, and aliquots directly into microwell plates, with automated cleaning and ethanol sterilisation between samples to prevent cross-contamination.
Originally developed for UHT cream QC, the platform can be configured for food & beverage, pharmaceutical and laboratory testing applications.
