Thoughtfully designed and produced in New Zealand with a focus on natural fabrics Widdess is an independent clothing label based in Ponsonby.
Our focus is on beautiful fabrics and simple styles. The use of silks, cottons, wools, and only natural textiles is important to us. With our studio workroom above our store we are able to re-stock daily with new styles. We are proudly designed and manufactured right here in Auckland since 1996.

30 years ago today with no plan B and four school ages kids, we opened up Widdess. From the beginning we were committed to using natural fibres, producing in NZ and making in small batches. We are so proud to have stuck with that commitment all these years later and so grateful for all of our wonderful customers that have chosen to wear our clothes in their daily lives. This business has enriched our lives in ways we could never have imagined, it’s a joy making these beautiful products and having such a lovely community around us.
