"The biggest realisation that I had in my first couple of years in principalship is that I don't actually have to have the answers to everyone's questions."
We caught up with Dale Burden, Principal of Howick College, to get his thoughts and advice for new school leaders at our June education-sector conference. Hear why he thinks building a network and meeting other principals at events are important. ➡️ Don't miss our upcoming Kura Conference (ticket offers expiring soon):

Day 2 of the Primary Industries Summit opened with an engaging fireside chat between Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Federated Farmers President Wayne Langford, emphasising the sector's importance to the country's economy and outlining his partnership approach between government and industry.
The discussion centered on driving economic growth, expanding international trade opportunities, and reducing regulatory barriers. Luxon emphasized the importance of innovation and land-use flexibility to ensure Kiwi exporters remain highly competitive on the global stage.
The conversation touched on leadership and resilience. Luxon shared his approach to handling the demands of the role, emphasizing the value of staying anchored to a clear purpose and maintaining a healthy balance across physical wellbeing, purpose, mental stimulation, and strong personal relationships.
