At the 55th Pacific Islands Forum in Palau 🇵🇼 earlier this month, leaders, in their communiqué, "Reaffirmed that climate change remains the single greatest threat to the security, livelihoods, wellbeing and future of the peoples of the Pacific" and said they "commit to ... strengthening regional monitoring, reporting and existing accountability mechanisms for climate commitments". The full "Belau Declaration" is encouraging.
