Nobody warns you about this bit of going viral.

The trolls. The drama hunters. The comments that make you want to switch your phone off forever 🤪

Then your people turn up and remind you why you do it.

6 months ago those comments used to ruin my whole day. Now I’ve got a regulated nervous system and zero energy to give them. Laters.. šŸ–•šŸ¤£

Guide’s in my bio if you want the tools too.

WTF is the window of tolerance? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

It’s the range where you can handle life, hard conversations, deadlines, chaos, and still stay you. Present. Motivated and Thinking straight.

Above that window, you’re wired and snappy over nothing. Below it, you’re flat and checked out.

Here’s the bit nobody tells you: the window shrinks when you’re depleted, and you usually don’t notice until you’re already outside it.

Your football team loses, an email pi**es you off the kids are playing up. One week it rolls off you, another flattens you. Nothing about the circumstances changed. Your capacity did.

Want to widen your window back out? Grab my free guide, Burnt Out, or Just Done? Head to the link in bio and you are on your way to bring right back into your window.

I get it I’m an England fan and that was gutting 😭 Alot of fans woke up feeling destroyed today.

Here’s what’s actually happening. Watching a match like that spikes adrenaline and cortisol the same way a real threat would. Your nervous system isn’t watching the game, it’s living it.

If your window of tolerance is wide, that spike moves through you. You shout, you swear, and by this afternoon you’re back to normal.

If it’s narrow, because you’re already running on empty, that spike gets stuck. You’re snappy, flat, or wrung out for days, over a football match.

It was never really about the football.

Comment RESET and I’ll send you my free guide, Burnt Out, or Just Done? It’ll show you where your capacity actually is right now, and how to build it back. ā¬‡ļø

Slowing down isn’t lazy. It’s a signal to your body that you’re safe. Hey I did feel a bit of an idiot setting up filming at the beach but after doing this I felt so regulated I didn’t care 🤣

All it takes is two minutes. Hands around the cup. Breathe in, then make your exhale longer than your inhale. That longer out breath is what flips you out of go mode.

Then just notice. The warmth. The smell. The sounds around you šŸµ

Around 80% of the signals in your vagus nerve run from your body up to your brain, not the other way. So you can’t think your way calm. You start with the body.

Out in nature is extra nurturing.

Send this to someone who just needs a little help to get though the day … tell them to get the kettle on! šŸ’•
