Auckland’s transport system is now operating in a new way, with Auckland Council taking responsibility for most transport functions from 1 October.
For most people, day-to-day services will continue as usual. The same buses and ferries will be running, with no immediate changes to parking charges or the delivery of road and footpath projects. 🚌🛳
While things may look much the same on the ground, this change marks a new chapter in how Auckland’s transport network is managed and delivered.

Auckland Council is reviewing its community grants policy to ensure funding continues to make a difference for communities and provides good value for money.
Around $25 million is distributed each year through regional and local grants, supporting community groups, events, arts, sports, environmental projects and more.
Community groups, grant recipients and those who have missed out are encouraged to share their experiences and ideas. Your feedback will help shape how community grants are delivered in the future.

Our well-loved Shoesmith Hall is set for its next chapter.
We've approved plans to make the hall more accessible, comfortable and fit for the future, along with a new hardcourt on the site of the former bowling green.

We're proud to support Kiwi Avoidance Training and the important work being done to protect kiwi across Rodney.
It was fantastic to see 30 dogs and their owners attend the recent fully booked session at Point Wells.
Thanks to everyone who took part in helping keep our native wildlife safe. If your dog needs training or a refresher, the next session is at Matakana Pony Club on 19 September. Link below.
