Buying from a small NZ business does more than you’d think.

This week I had a proper sit-down chat with Kate from Moodi , as a finalist for their Female Founder Fund. No pitch, just two founders talking. She listened, gave me space, and offered advice when I asked.

Here’s the thing though. When you buy Moodi, you’re helping fund grants for founders like me. But Kate also gave her own time, no grant required, just because she’s been there and wanted to help someone coming up behind her. So really, backing Moodi means backing a whole chain of us lifting each other up 🌱

Kate Ricketts, the founder behind ISpy Nits, has been named a People's Choice finalist for the Moodi Female Founder Fund 2026 and voting is now open.

Kate built ISpy Nits on a simple belief: you can't treat what you can't see. And that nits don't discriminate. They affect every family, regardless of background. Science not stigma.

We are grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey, including our wonderful pharmacies and the Lice Removal Network in the United States, who have opened the door to a whole new market for us and believed in what we are building.
