Omnibar is a compact, battery-powered linear LED system that combines ARRI’s full-spectrum light quality with interchangeable optics, individual pixel control, flexible mounting, and IP65 weather protection.

Use it as a portable light source, build it into a set, put it in shot, or combine multiple fixtures for more complex installations.

Alongside the ALEXA 35 on our stand, it was a great example of ARRI’s expanding range of tools for creative control.

Sometimes you just have to stop and appreciate some seriously cool engineering.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is the first feature film to be shot entirely on IMAX 70mm, which meant solving some pretty significant technical challenges along the way, including developing the first new IMAX 70mm camera in decades.

The behind-the-scenes look at the cameras, scanning, cutting, and editing required to make it happen is fascinating.

For anyone who loves the technology behind the pictures, this is well worth a watch.

With up to eight channels of HD or four channels of UltraHD processing, FS8 combines frame sync, conversion, HDR/SDR colour processing, audio management, and SDI/IP gateway functionality.

The really useful bit? It can work across SDI, ST 2110, or a mixture of both, giving facilities a practical way to transition to IP without leaving existing infrastructure behind.
