🐟 Sometimes on those slow and difficult days…. One fish can make the persistence all worth it.

By no means a “trophy” fish, but good to land a respectable snapper after nearly 4 months off the water. 🌊

It’s good to be back. 🎣

🤏 🐟 The importance of keeping the line tight and using smooth drag pressure is important…. Especially in situations like this! Hanging on by the skin! 🤏

First time putting the Deba knife from KAI KNIVES to work 🔪🔥

Took it to some fresh snapper and safe to say… game changer. The control, the precision, the clean fillets — next level compared to what I’m used to. Still learning the technique, but that’s all part of the process 🤙

Nothing beats turning a solid catch into top-quality fillets yourself. Plenty more practice to come 💯

Knife: Kai SekiMagoRoku Kinju ST Deba - 150mm

🐟 Golden Snapper - a welcome addition to the catch bag while jigging out in the deep.
~ Delicious table fish, watch out for their spines and spikes!
