Hi all. Darrel’s funeral will be at the Bucklands Beach Yacht Club at 11am Thursday 30th July. All are welcome. There will be plenty of time for those to share stories or a few words that wish to so please feel free.

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Darrel Wildbore, loved husband of Louise (former Committee Member) and beloved dad to Harrison, Ella and Thomas. The family are valued members of our club and have been for years. We have watched their children grow and develop into the greatest of role models that they are today, seen the inspiration, determination and perseverance that not only Darrel has shown in past years, but from his entire family as well.
Darrel has coached teams, always been around on the diamonds, and has been an integral part of the softball community as has his family. Our sincere condolences are extended to the whole family including Hayden & Alana and their families and their many friends. The loss of someone so greatly loved is felt enormously and we offer our strength and support to the family through these sad times and in the future. Rest in lots of love Darrel, you will be greatly missed and thank you for your efforts, support and just being you, as part of our club. Gone far too soon, our friend. We will miss you. Get ready to level up your game this winter with our Term 3 Softball Skill Sessions at the Fieldhouse on Ben Lomond Crescent.
Whether you’re a brand‑new player keen to give softball a go or a returning player hungry to sharpen your skills, these sessions are designed to build confidence, technique, and love for the game.
You’ll be guided by quality coaches who bring experience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for developing players of all ages and stages. We’re also opening the doors to current and aspiring coaches who want to learn, grow, and strengthen their coaching toolkit. They will take 14 and 15 year old's as well for anyone interested.
Come be part of a fun, supportive environment that lifts everyone up — all contact details are in the flyer, so gather your teammates or friends and get involved this winter.
Softball sessions will be held separately to the baseball sessions.

Prize giving for the 2025-2026 season. Was a great evening celebrating all the players, coaches, managers, supporters and families for all there efforts and hard work through the season.

Quite fitting, as the rain returned monday, the fences came down.

A massive thanks to our grounds men, coaches and Howick Premier Mens Team for the big push on a Monday night to clear the fences for the season. All your help is appreciated, we love the support!

Also thank you to everyone who pitched in for a successful finals day for the ASA, hosted by us at The Meadows!

We still have prizegiving this Saturday with our batons up to close out the night.
