Kitchens By Design

Transitional White 🤍. A white kitchen doesn’t have to mean minimalist.

In a transitional kitchen, classic character meets contemporary living — creating a space that feels at home within an older house, while delivering the function, flow and aesthetic of modern life.

For this feature, we’re showcasing two Kitchens By Design kitchens where traditional architecture and modern design work beautifully together.

Both kitchens are anchored in their connection to the spaces around them — opening into living and dining areas, working naturally with timber flooring and becoming part of the wider home rather than simply a room within it.

Classic white cabinetry brings lightness and timeless appeal, while considered proportions, contemporary functionality and clean detailing give these kitchens a distinctly modern edge.

It’s about respecting the character of the home, while designing for how we live today.

Timeless architecture. Modern function. Seamless living.

Because the best transitional kitchens don’t compete with the home — they complete it.

When precision is considered from the very beginning, a kitchen doesn’t simply sit within a home — it becomes part of it.

This home has it all.🧡

Beautiful integrated cabinetry allows the refrigeration and pantry nooks to disappear seamlessly behind the cabinetry, creating a calm, cohesive aesthetic without compromising on functionality.

The carefully considered drawer lines form handles and create a sense of continuity, with every line flowing effortlessly across the space. Behind those seamless lines is highly practical storage, designed to make everyday living easier.

It’s the balance of form, function and precision — where beautiful design meets the details that make a kitchen work.

Because craftsmanship isn’t just what you see.

It’s how everything comes together.

THE BEST FEEDBACK 🤎
A beautiful kitchen is one thing. Creating a space that homeowners genuinely love living in is what matters most.

And we couldn’t think of a better way to finish this kitchen series than with a few words from the owners themselves.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “We had a great experience working with Alina on our kitchen. She was incredibly responsive, approachable, and thoughtful throughout the whole process, and made everything so easy. We really appreciated her attention to detail and willingness to help at every stage. We absolutely love our new kitchen and couldn’t be happier with the result.”

Thank you to our wonderful clients for trusting Kitchens By Design and Alina to bring their vision to life.

From the first conversation through to the final detail, it’s a privilege to create spaces that become such an important part of our clients’ homes.

Beautifully designed. Thoughtfully considered. Made for living.

There’s a certain warmth to a country kitchen — spaces that feel welcoming, considered and made for gathering.

For our Country Warmth feature, we’re showcasing two Kitchens By Design kitchens that capture the character of country living in very different ways.

Kitchen One embraces a softer, more refined country aesthetic. Soft green tones are paired with warm copper accents and timeless handles, while a cleverly concealed scullery keeps everyday mess out of sight without compromising connection to the main kitchen.

Kitchen Two takes a richer, more grounded approach. Darker timber features, beautifully detailed cabinetry and a classic butler’s sink create depth and character. A dedicated appliance corner keeps everyday essentials close at hand, bringing together beautiful design and thoughtful functionality.

Two different interpretations of country style, but both share the same principles:

🌿 Warm, natural tones
🤎 Character-rich materials
✨ Beautiful cabinetry details
🍽️ Designed for gathering
🫶 Functionality woven into the design

Because a country kitchen should feel as good to live in as it looks.

Which country kitchen would you choose — soft and serene or rich and characterful?

It’s often the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

The effortless glide of Blum drawer runners. The precision of Blum AVENTOS lift systems that make overhead cabinetry a pleasure to use. The beauty and functionality of Plumbline taps, perfectly positioned for everyday living.

From thoughtfully integrated brass ventilation grilles and carefully selected table support to beautifully placed light switches, subtle ambient lighting, and clever drawer access and storage solutions, every detail is considered.

These are the elements that may not be the first thing you notice — but they are the details you appreciate every single day.

Because exceptional kitchen design isn’t just about how a space looks.

It’s about how it feels. How it functions. And how effortlessly it works for the people who use it.

Small things. Big difference.

Coastal Connection 🌊

There’s something special about a kitchen designed for a coastal escape — relaxed, welcoming and connected to the outdoors.

For this Coastal Connection feature, we’re profiling two beautiful Kitchens By Design kitchens in coastal locations, each designed to support family gatherings, summer entertaining and that effortless holiday feeling.

From open, light-filled spaces that draw the outdoors in, to considered storage and generous islands made for gathering, these kitchens are designed to work as beautifully for everyday family life as they do for long summer lunches and weekends away.

Two kitchens. Two coastal locations. One shared connection — bringing family, food and the outdoors together.

Which coastal kitchen would you escape to?

Every detail starts with intention.

From the way the kitchen connects with the surrounding spaces, to the placement of cabinetry, appliances, lighting and storage — good design is about more than how a kitchen looks.

It’s about understanding how you live, then designing a space that works beautifully around you.

Here’s two lovely examples designed with intent for the homeowners to meet their specific needs and for the space they call home✨
