Keeping production running while expanding a manufacturing facility is never straightforward.

In this beverage factory extension project, the challenge was to create space for a new production line while maintaining hygiene standards and avoiding unplanned downtime.

Through careful planning, staged construction, and close coordination with site teams, the project was delivered safely and on schedule, with production continuing throughout.

What really separates a Project Manager from a Senior Project Manager?

It's not project size, budget, or years in the job. According to our Auckland Regional Manager, Miriam Mills, the shift is about leadership, judgement, and communication, not technical capability.

In this month's blog, Miriam draws on 7+ years at TEG and a career mentoring dozens of PMs to explain why the move to SPM is qualitative, not just ""more of the same, but bigger"" and what that means for anyone eyeing the next step in their career.

A machine safety risk isn’t solved when it’s identified. It’s solved when the right solution is delivered.

TEG Projects will be attending Foodpro alongside TEG Risk, showing how our two teams work together to help manufacturers move from assessment to implementation with confidence.

A recent multi-site programme with CHEP highlights the value of early collaboration, clear accountability, and practical delivery in complex environments.

The success of an industrial upgrade starts with the people behind it.

Our Industrial Plant Services team unite Rhys Knauf, Graham Brooks, Jamie Wilson, Altan Gurevin, Wayne, Bickers and Ken Camden - experienced engineers and project managers who understand the realities of working in live industrial environments.

They work alongside manufacturers to define scope, manage risk, and guide complex projects across utilities, energy systems, asset replacement, and decarbonisation.

What kind of support does your plant need most right now? We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Planning a site upgrade, capital project, or operational improvement?

We'll be at Foodpro 2026 alongside our machine safety partners, TEG Risk, talking with food and beverage manufacturers about safer, more effective project delivery.

Successful projects don't start at installation. They start with good planning, clear stakeholder alignment, and the right expertise involved from the outset.

If you're attending Foodpro, come and chat with the team about your next project and the challenges you're working through.

What makes a great project manager? It's not just the systems and templates. It's the judgment calls. The difficult conversations. The ability to read a room and navigate competing priorities.

At our recent Team Development Days, we worked through real scenarios our team faces every day. because that's where the real learning happens.

At TEG, we have always believed that great work comes down to the people behind it and the values they bring to everything they do.

This year, we are proud to introduce something new: the TEG Values Awards.

Presented at our annual Team Development Days, these awards recognise team members who have gone above and beyond in demonstrating the three values at the heart of who we are; Integrity, Collaboration, and Pride.

Integrity - We act honestly, transparently, and ethically in every decision and interaction.

Collaboration - We work together through open communication, trust, and shared accountability - internally and with our clients.

Pride - We take ownership of our work and strive for excellence in everything we do.

These are the behaviours we hold ourselves to every day, on every project, with every client. Recognising the people who live these values is something we are excited to make a lasting tradition at TEG.

We are thrilled to announce this year's inaugural winners:
Integrity: Jason Carter
Collaboration: Rhys Knauf
Pride: Andrey Zhidkov

Congratulations to each of you and thank you for setting the standard for what it means to be part of the TEG team.

The TEG Projects team are making the most of our team days and yes, that involved getting some push-ups in first thing this morning.

We are proud to take part in this year's Push-Up Challenge, and the team have been working hard to hit their daily targets in support of better mental health outcomes for all Australians. It has been a great reminder of what this challenge is really about - showing up, doing the work, and supporting one another.

Thanks to everyone who is cheering us on and donating. Every push-up counts.
