Here are four changes to the road rules in New Zealand you need to know about.
1️⃣ A mandatory 1.5m passing gap when overtaking cyclists, horse riders and other road users.
2️⃣ Drivers will need to give way to buses pulling out from bus stops on roads with speed limits of 60km/h or less.
3️⃣ Kids aged 12 and under will be legally allowed to ride on footpaths. Parents, caregivers, teachers and older siblings can ride alongside them.
4️⃣ E-scooters get formal access to cycle lanes.
