Blast from the past! 🧜‍♀️😭 Found this gem in the archives and had to share... my FIRST EVER attempt at modelling chocolate. Bless my heart, I really said "yes this coral looks structurally sound" and moved on with my life.
You're your own worst critic, they say, and looking at this now, I have SO many notes for past me. That fondant coral is basically a science fair project. But hey, Ariel herself refused to comment on the workmanship below her, so I'll take that as a win.
This was for my daughter's 5th birthday under the sea... she just turned 15, so clearly I've had time to improve.A cake like this would not survive quality control in the Flying Apronz kitchen today but I love it anyway. Growth is real, people. 💙
