— FDG PROJECT FEATURE — B201

Another project done an dusted! FDG were involved in supplying quality products and services toward the extensive refurbishment of the Auckland University Social Sciences Building (B201) on Symonds Street.
With the aim of keeping those on the project moving and making, FDG supplied timely and onsite delivery of product for HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing services. A key component supplied by FDG was our hero product Modframe™. This modular steel framing was primarily used to support air conditioning ducts and pipework.

Our deliverables went beyond product supply, this included custom fabricated droppers plus seismic engineering designs. Onsite “check in’s” with customers allowed FDG to stay current with project modifications and adapt product requirements as required.

— FDG PROJECT FEATURE — Tauhara Power Station

FDG had the privilege of suppling a range of quality products and services to assist in the development of the Contact Energy Tauhara Power Station in Taupo.

Our scope on this project was very broad, including product supply across the large structural construction, as well as the HVAC and Fire support systems. FDG’s German manufactured Modframe™ played a key role in the modular framing design for containment and structural support.

Our commitment to service excellence was delivered not only with compliant seismic designs, but FDG’s delivery direct to site, keeping the customer moving and making.

FDG had the pleasure of suppling a range of quality products and services to assist in the development of the new City Rail Link in Auckland. This top of the line rail system will connect two crucial points in Auckland’s transportation network, Waitematā Station (Britomart) to a redeveloped Maungawhau Station.
Our scope included a range of innovative products, each designed to meet the rigorous demands of this type of undertaking. Notably, our German made modular framing system – Modframe™, which provided superior and efficient framing support for heavy-duty applications within the project.
In addition to this FDG provided compliant and practical seismic engineering and design services. These services ensured that the HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire seismic support systems met the stringent requirements and regulations required by a project of this magnitude.

Whether you are hanging HVAC equipment or installing Plumbing, Fire or Electrical systems, FDG will keep you Moving and Making. We are fully stocked with a range of C1 & C2 Certified Seismic Anchors that meet the New Zealand Building Standard NZS 4219:2009. This standard covers the design, construction and installation of Seismic restraints for non-structural elements such as air-handling units, tanks, pipework and ductwork. Our stock includes Throughbolts, Screw Bolts and Rod Hangers which are available in a variety of sizes and finishes including; Zinc Plate, Zinc Flake (HDG equivalent) and A4 Stainless Steel.
