Transmitart

•It's true 😥 I haven't touched my pastels in a year and a half and I'm starting to really miss the joy and relaxation drawing gave me. After relocating to Tuaranga, I got a job to help support my family and keep myself busy during the day. But now as time as gone on, I feel a little empty and a part of me is missing. I have now come to realise it is the art/drawing side of me I am searching for.

So I have been contemplating taking on commissions again... only in the evenings for now if there is enough interest.

If you know someone who you think would love a portrait done, tell them Transmitart is back in business and happy to help 😉

[ PHOTO VS DRAWING ]

These are the two images I used to create 'Embrace Courage'. Thanks to Corinne Ammann for the beautiful photographs from the FB group Free reference photos for artists.

● New drawing underway ✍️

I'm using Art Spectrum Colorfix paper instead of Pastelmat 😬
The last time I used this paper was 3 years ago when I first started my pastel journey and was trying to find 'the perfect' paper. I discovered this wasn't the perfect paper and tucked it away and never touched it again until now - only because I ran out of Pastelmat🙈. Now that I have some experience using pastels I actually don't mind the texture of this paper. It does take a bit of getting used to though - it's just like fine grain sandpaper.

I have finally finished him🙌

I wanted to give this guy a fitting title as a reminder to seek courage and strength when you are going through adversities. 2023 certainly started with a bang and is continuing to throw a punch but I'm learning to put my trust and faith in Him and I know what I am facing now will only make me stronger in the end 💪

If anyone is still wanting to commission me to create something special for them I'm not going to say no. I don't know when we will be relocating to Tauranga and I am tired of waiting in limbo until then so send me a message and we can go from there😁

[ HAPPY WORLD ART DAY ]

Today's date is a celebration which helps reinforce the links between artistic creations and society, encourages greater awareness of the diversity of artistic expressions and highlights the contribution of artists to sustainable development. Let's keep making art🙌💕

[ HE IS RISEN ] Happy Easter Sunday everyone💕

How great does monochrome look?
Black and white hues definitely give a portrait a more deeper, moody, edge to it. I just love how it emphasizes these two lovebirds 🖤

This portrait was definitely one of my favourites for 2020. I just loved drawing all that fur

Oh Remy, you beauty 🖤
Look at those striking eyes and how she usually rests her paws, one on top of the other - so cute

Beautiful Charlie🤍
I was lucky enough to create two portraits of this little lady. Once as a puppy and another of her all grown up. Look at how much fluff she has now.
