The Stable/Stud Excellence Award recognises the outstanding contribution of an individual who is an integral part of a stable.

This award celebrates the people who consistently go above and beyond - showing dedication, reliability, knowledge, care and pride in their work. They may not always be the person in the spotlight, but they are often the backbone of the operation and play a vital role in the day-to-day running and success of a stable.

The long list of deserved nominees this year, shows our horses are in such great hands with not only their trainers, but also those behind the scenes to ensure they get the best results for their owners.

Good luck! We can't wait to see you all at Breckon Farms this Sunday where the winner will be announced 🤩

A pretty special milestone for one of the most special mares we’ve had through the stable 🤎

Millwood Nike was something else - 17 starts, 17 wins, and she gave us so many memorable moments on and off the track.

So good to see her now starting her next chapter and becoming a mum. A beautiful c**t and a very exciting future ahead for him.

Congratulations to everyone at Breckon Farms - we’ll be following this little guy closely. 🐴✨

You know that dream of owning a racehorse? Maybe it’s time to make it real.

Purdon Racing has shares available in three cracking standardbred yearlings and we'd love for you to join the ride!

⭐ ART MAJOR x CALLIE’S DELIGHT - FILLY | Purchased for $20,000

The first foal from a Group 1 winner! This filly's mother was a winning machine - a winner of 12 races, Callie's Delight won the Gr.1 NZ Breeders Stakes at Addington in 2023. A laid-back filly with a lovely low action, great attitude and just the right amount of sass. She's got all the makings to do it on the big stage.

⭐ AMERICAN IDEAL x CZAYNI - GELDING | Purchased for $30,000

By a tough sire and out of a speedy mare. Professional on and off the track, with a lovely nature and the attitude Nathan looks for in a young horse. Czayni has had two foals to the races and both have been winners - you can't ask for much more than that!

⭐ LATHER UP x HIGH SOCIETY GAL - C**T | Purchased for $50,000

A c**t Nathan LOVED on type sale day. By a relatively new sire who’s been producing a growing number of individual winners (think Debbie Lincoln, El Mystro...), this c**t is already ticking the boxes with a lovely nature and a willing attitude.

We can not wait to see little Oscar’s hitting the track 🥰💙

Here he is - the stallion to watch this breeding season, as voted by you - OSCAR BONAVENA. 🏆

New Zealand-bred trotter by Majestic Son out of Now's The Moment, overcame a precarious start to become one of Australasia's premier Standardbreds. He became a millionaire when he won the Cambridge Trotters Flying Mile in January 2025, and across his career amassed multiple wins in feature races, including three Cambridge Flying Miles, three Green Miles at Methven, two Cambridge Trotters Flying Stakes, two New Zealand Trotting Free-for-Alls and two DG Jones Memorial Banks Peninsula Cups. In March 2026 he made history at Mount Harding Raceway by taking out the Woodland Stud Green Mile for a third time. His entry into the millionaire's club came with win number 30 from 76 starts for $1,018,558 in stakes, making him the 12th Australasian-bred trotting millionaire.

We are so looking forward to seeing what Oscar's progeny can acheive on the track!

Congratulations to 'Karen Joseph' you are the lucky winner of our Prezzie Card, please PM and we will get your prize to you!
