Designed in Dunedin by Stefan Mutch, Treewhare is a synthesis of art, furniture, and environment. They are a space to connect with nature and with each other.
Trēwhare are premade wooden spaces which can be easily placed into any environment. Trēwhare reminds us of who we are and where we are from. They are made from Macrocarpa and 100% recyclable. The Trēwhare is most suited to an existing deck or courtyard. New or old, big or small. It can define a space and become the space. It will rejuvenate an existing garden becoming both leisure and sculpture.

I spent a year building this design. It's wonderful to revisit and see how it's developing. Two simple shapes set into a planting that morphs into the surrounding ecosystem.
