Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers sound good… but are they really worth a 40rwkw loss?! 😳
Even we were surprised by just how much of a restriction these mufflers proved to be on the dyno.
Back to back run, same timing, same AFR
The difference? Nearly 40rwkW just from removing the restriction.
They might give you that classic Flowmaster sound, but when you’re chasing power, flow matters!
Sometimes the restriction isn’t where you expect it. 👀
Devyns VY SS. Came in with a OTR and maf in already installed with no tune, once we removed maf and tuned to suit, we picked up another 20rwkw peak and around 20-30Nm torque from 4000rpm up where the maf is quite restrictive.
Also added the ghost cam idle as requested.
