We’re deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, mentor, and biggest supporter, Darryl Monteith.

Darryl meant so much to The Rabbits band. We will always be forever grateful for the endless support and love that Darryl had towards our journey in music. He always pushed us to play more gigs, gave us great advice, and never doubted our abilities. Every time we would head down to smash Darryl would always debate which one of our originals was his favourite, only for him to have named almost all of them after just a few gigs. We’re grateful for all the gigs he helped us get and for letting us jam at Smash.

To Darryl’s family and friends, we’re so sorry for your loss. Darryl was a huge part of our music community, and we’ll miss him dearly.

Cheers to the good times, Darryl. We hope you’re rocking out up there.

Dear Festival Fans,
We have an important announcement to share regarding the date of The Gisborne Beer Festival.
Due to the unforeseen circumstance of a bad 3-day southerly forecasted for the original date, we have made the decision to postpone the festival by one week. The original date of March 30th has been rescheduled to April 6th.
While we understand that this change may inconvenience some attendees and participating acts, rest assured that the new date offers better weather prospects and a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
We are working diligently to ensure that The Gisborne Beer Festival lineup remains as exciting as ever, with new acts and breweries joining us on April 6th. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
