Two years ago I was creatively lost. I was struggling to find a vision that was actually realistic to achieve. And then, by the luck of being born in New Zealand, I was able to apply to a new pool of grant money dedicated to kids music; and the seed of my Singalongercise idea was given a chance to grow. I can’t emphasise enough how life-boosting this work has been for me - and then being able to collaborate with other artists across puppet creation, stop-motion animation, music production, songwriting and performance has been just an incredible experience.

Now and then we all need to feel like what we do matters and award nominations provide an opportunity to share that gift. I may be the person nominated for this award in a music industry context, but I want to especially let .animations , , and .oropeza.solorio know that their care, creativity, and support has mattered so much to my life these past two years. Nevermind the mahi of all the other contributors to this project:

And then there are the other nominees who are part of such an incredible community of creatives in New Zealand that I’m proud to be a part of. Both and create fun, thoughtful, creative and important art for our tamariki that you should check out TODAY!

Finally, my amazing family, friends and partner for always believing in me ☺️

Now... I’m off to find a good coffee and treat to celebrate while I prepare to record a whole new set of Singalongercise songs!

Huge news in my world...

Thanks to all of your singalongs and exercising over the past few months, there is going to be a Singalongercise Vol.2 🥳

Am beyond grateful and excited to share that and are backing another round of this concept. Much more will be revealed over the coming months, it’s going to be a wild and fun process creating with the amazing and .animations again, but for now you get to see the fancy new logo that signals the beginning of this next chapter, designed by .co

It may still be a baby in the world, but Just Move - from my Singalongercise project - has made the semi-finals of the International Songwriting Contest 🥳🥳

Aaaand it's sitting pretty with two other legends of New Zealand kids music Claudia Robin Gunn - Music for Kids and Kath Bee - Children's Songwriter .

2025 was, thanks to so many of you, my most music-filled for some time and what made it extra special was how much of that was us singing together..

Whether it was live in Canada or Europe with , in the studio with or in schools, kindies and your homes with Singalongercise and !

I can’t wait to share in the magic of singing with ya’ll again in ‘26.
