Hello from sunny Brisbane! đ
This year, we took our annual APL National Conference across the Tasman to Australia. It was a fantastic few days filled with sharing industry insights, showcasing product updates, and catching up face-to-face. A huge thank you to all our manufacturers who joined us and made it another memorable conference.

What an inspiring three days at in:situ 2026 + CAA General Assembly. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand and took the time to talk through the opportunities and challenges facing architecture and the wider building industry.
There was plenty to take in across the programme, with speakers sharing perspectives on urban architecture, environmental building approaches, restoration, community-based projects across Australia and the South Pacific and the industry through an economistâs lens, alongside wider discussion around sustainable, durable material choices.
It was also a proud moment for our wider team to have APLâs Philip Negus open the event, with Lachlan Stanton from AGP closing the programme.
For our team, the event reinforced the value of engaging early and working closely with architects and specifiers - not simply to supply products, but to help identify practical window and door solutions for better-performing buildings and more considered architectural outcomes.
Thanks again to the NZIA, CAA, speakers, attendees and everyone involved in bringing the event together.

We were pleased to be part of Constructive 2026 as a Gold Sponsor. The two-day event brought valuable perspective on the forces shaping New Zealandâs building and construction sector. For APL, it was a chance to connect with building industry professionals from around the country and hear about the challenges and opportunities builders are facing.
Thank you to everyone who spoke with the APL team over the two days. We appreciated the opportunity to share what weâre working on, hear more about the projects ahead, and be part of a forum focused on the future of New Zealandâs building industry.

From the street, Hayley and Paul Minorsâ Greenhithe home reads as a contemporary, cedar-lined new build stepping down a steep site. From inside, itâs all about the outlook.
Floor-to-ceiling Vantage sliding doors wrap the open-plan kitchen, dining and living zone, framing long views across Hobsonville and Herald Island and opening flat onto a kwila deck, outdoor fireplace and pool. Paul calls the windows and doors the âunsung heroesâ of the project - quietly drawing in natural light, capturing the warmth of the day and making movement between inside and out feel effortless.
The elevated, bush-edged site provides the privacy to use generous areas of glazing, while the ThermalHeart+ÂŽ window system helps support a warm, comfortable interior year-round.
