🚨 AVAST Antivirus Causing Blue Screens of Death? Here's What You Need to Know! 🚨

If you’re dealing with frequent Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) on startup, Avast Antivirus could be causing the issue. 🖥️💥

Many users have reported that Avast is causing system instability and crashes. If you're affected, it's time to uninstall Avast and give your system a fresh start. ⛔

❗ What to do:

Uninstall Avast Antivirus ASAP.

Restart your computer.

Check for updates to fix any lingering issues.

🔒 Don't worry! For most people, Microsoft Defender, which comes pre-installed on Windows, provides more than enough protection. So, you’re covered without the extra hassle. Plus, it won't nag you to buy extras you don't need, like a VPN or browser extensions!

Hello all, Happy 2025!

It has been a busy start to the year for us, hence my delay in providing an update.

2025 has some key points in the computer world to take note of, and I'd like to bring your attention to one in particular:

- October 2025: Windows 10 goes out-of-service

This one will be key for a lot of our customers, some of you may receive phone calls from us about this. Microsoft have limited which devices can receive Windows 11 as a replacement. Unfortunately, this leaves a LOT of devices behind in terms of support.

ARC Technology Services is taking a proactive approach this year in moving customers to Windows 11 where possible (if your computer supports it, it's a free upgrade provided by Microsoft, and we don't charge labour for doing this!) but we're aware of a lot of our customer base still using older computers that will no longer get security updates from October.

If this sounds like you, give us a call on 0204 151 9502 (if you don't get me on the first try PLEASE leave a message, I do try to listen to them!) and we'll come up with a plan to keep your computing experience safe and secure.

Yet another great reason to come talk to the experts here at ARC Technology Services! We're unauthorized but won't muck you around!

Credit to System32 Comics for this one!
